Wed, 9th Jan, 2019 10 Mile Outcamp, Tarmoola Station, 60km north of Leonora, WA

Strong wind gusts from the north all night.

8am 32 degrees, cloudy but the sun shining through. Still gusty wind.

Cleaned the van and made some salads and dessert for tomorrow’s BBQ with Kym and Glen at the dam.

Steve went wandering with his detector – getting lots of exercise! He came back with heaps of quartz – no gold in them unfortunately. They are to finish off around the fire pit.

Very windy day, 40 degrees but ok because of the wind.

Steve went back out detecting while I chilled out in the cottage with my book by the window – no flies and the wind was quite pleasant. I got out our big map of Australia and filled in the roads we travelled on from Cairns at the end of last year. I have marked in all the roads we have travelled on in our 35 years of marriage as well as this ‘trip’.

Drinks in the pool which has stayed cool.

Wind changed to the south-west now so things have cooled a bit more, no need for a fan tonight.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
