Tues, 4th August, 2015 Spring Creek Nature Conservation Reserve, Graytown

6am it was 4 degrees in the van and -4 outside. Put the heater on and luckily our modifications worked and it didn’t freeze up. Yeah. Bit of frost on the ground.

The forecast is for a top of 10 today!! Jon rang to say a tradie he and Steve worked with had passed away from asbestos – so sad for his family.

I did my blog uploads etc while Steve went detecting. Lou sent the latest news report about the Strubers – so glad they are locked up now.

No gold. What a shame after finding 3 pieces so quickly last time.

Had lunch in 9 degrees outside – we are acclimatising!!

Went for a walk with Steve – I helped dig the holes and we found lots of bits of metal and another button. At least it is a healthy activity!!

I gave up and went back to the van to read my book in bed under the warm blankets. Steve took his rake and tried raking all the area where he did find the gold last time – only found more nails and a one cent piece.

Clouded over with a strong breeze. Got the fire going and Steve cooked the pork chops over the fire while I did the vegies. Rang Mum and Dad for a chat – all well at home. The stars are out again.

Rang Dan too – so great to hear him – looking forward to seeing by two boys soon.

Watching TV and obviously the clouds have come over again as it is sprinkling with rain again.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
