Wed, 4th November, 2015 Pete & Marion’s, Camden

Happy Birthday to my cousin, Pete. Sent a text to Paul to wish him a Happy Birthday too.

Wet and miserable day today. We drove to Menangle to visit Uncle Wal. Had a lovely time chatting and hearing all the stories. Got some photos of his and Mum’s grandparents, Walter Henry Ingham and Mary Matilda (Moore).

Also their son, Walter Horace Ingham, who was the creator of Ingham Chickens.

There was a lovely painting by Mum and another one painted by Val – will send those photos back to Mum.

The other vase of Nana’s – Mum has the other one.

Cute ‘painted’ photos of Wal and Val’s three boys, Wayne, Colin and Peter.

Gave Uncle Wal a big hug and kiss goodbye. It was great to see him looking so well after his recent hospital visit. He will be much happier at Grasmere Terrace as this retirement unit is too big for him to look after now.

We were going to do some shopping but it was too wet so we headed back to the van. Put all the washing through the dryer as I don’t think we will see the sun anytime soon.

Jon rang to get some advice on replacing his radiator on his Malloo.

Marion cancelled the tennis game they were all playing tonight as it was too wet so she put on a roast and cooked a cake to celebrate Pete’s birthday. Lovely night chatting.
