Thurs, 23rd Mar, 2017 Kev & Linda’s farm stay, Hopetoun, WA

Clear sky though a cloud band in the east blocked out the sunrise. Gusty wind. 23 degrees at 8am.

The boys worked on Kev’s van. I watered the fruit trees and roses – the scent is beautiful.

Drove into town with Linda who needed some fresh vegies. Found some history on the wall in the IGA.

Back home Steve said we were getting a visitor – Mr Goanna. He didn’t stop though and kept wandering under the van then back to the shed.

Amazingly the dog didn’t chase it – it chases flies and birds. Funniest thing out watching ‘Oi’ (that its name) chase flies and bugs. Loves chasing balls too which keeps us busy.

I downloaded the photos sent to my photo onto my computer by Bluetooth – that took some figuring out. This is Jodie making her speech at the Graduation Ceremony.

Lily and Bandit playing tug-of-war, that will save my arm when he wants to play it with me!!

The wind settled in the arvo and there are a still a few clouds but the temperature is lovely.

Kev and Steve went around to the homeowner’s (forgot his name) son’s shed as he wants Kev to look at fixing some equipment for him and Steve was going to check over a V8 engine in an old Speedway saloon car to see if it can go.

Linda and I had a few games of Rummykub – she has picked it up quickly!!

I texted Ray and Carol then Robyn and Robert who we met at Mosquito Creek detecting. Ray and Carol as heading to Hall’s Creek this year. Robyn and Robert are going back to MC in July. They are in Perth at the moment after coming across on the Indiana Pacific – had a wonderful time.

The boys came back having had some success. Played a couple games of Skipbo before dinner. Still a cool night but it isn’t blowing a gale for a change.
