Sat, 2nd Sept, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

7am 13.3 degrees, clear sky. Suppose to only get to 18 today but the sun is shining. The birds are singing for their breakfast.

Outside and the sun might be shining but the wind is biting cold. On with the layers as we head out detecting.

Warmed up a bit by smoko so I could remove the flannelette shirt!!

After lunch Steve coloured my hair – was getting a bit scary!!

Met Tom and Sandy for games at 3 then joined Phil and his friends for a BBQ at the main camp.

I decided to do a savoury damper. All good but we put on too many coals and burnt the top. Chopped that off and it turned out ok.

Back to the van by 8.30 as the wind was very cold and you can’t escape it in the open camp area.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
