Wed, 27th Sept, 2017 Lake Mason camp, near Sandstone, WA

7am 14 degrees, clear sky, no wind – who stole the warm weather!! It does warm up through the day though, just cold overnight.

The galahs bring in the morning with lots of screeching. They are nesting in a tree near the old shearing shed.

Steve got the donkey cranked up to make me some hot water so I can wash ‘everything’ since we have lots of water on hand. Turned into a lovely day, no wind, though the clouds were passing over.

Mister Goanna wandered through for a visit after he had a drink from the water draining out of the donkey shower area. He must live under the kitchen area.

Got all the washing done and dried then started cleaning the van. It is nice to have the time to give it all a good clean. Still have the truck to do but will wait till we head to the coast after we finish detecting.

The other campers came over for drinks and another couple (who are their neighbours and just happened to be coming this way too) stopped in too.

Back into the longs and a jumper as the sunset and the temperature dropped. No phone reception today except for one minute when 3 texts came through.
