7am
12.2 degrees, clear sky.
Four
magpies, Mum, Dad and two babies have joined the breakfast group of Butcher
Birds.
Went
back to Crystal Valley – thought that was a nice name for the area. We tried
raking the area then blowing it with the leaf blower – sort of worked but it
didn’t uncover any good crystals. Sandy joined us – Tom went off for a detect.
We found a few more broken ones. I kept them and will take them home and see if
Brian can tumble them.
Rang
Wendy for a chat at lunch time. Had a lovely long chat then Steve and Dave
chatted for ages too.
We
are having BBQ tonight as Ross and Lara are arriving. I baked my Gingerbread
Spiced Pumpkin cake and made some more pasta salads.
Drinks
around the fire near the camp with the others. Ross and Lara arrived in time
for dinner which was great. Poor Ross has the flu – we thought they would be
clear of ‘diseases’ after a week back in Australia but he probably caught it in
a shopping centre instead!!
Had
a great night chatting. Bruce & Julie had come too and Phil, Sandy &
Annette joined in too.
Cold
air as we walked back to our vans in the evening.
