Thurs, 13th July, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

7am 11.5 degrees, clear sky. Didn’t put the heater on but maybe should have.

Steve got the fire going to heat some water so I could wash my hair. Then he loaded the truck ready for our trip to town to get water, food etc. By 9am though it is lovely and warm so didn’t take a jumper as it is supposed to be 26 today.

Hayden called in to say goodbye – he was camped on the pending lease and is heading to Sandstone to attend a ‘bikie’ event – apparently it is run very well and there are lots of ‘girls’.

Into town – got my mail then filled up the water tanks and all our containers. Had a lovely big burger for lunch -  special treat. Watched the highlights of the V8 racing in Townsville on the laptop. Steve rang Brian for a chat – heading to O’Briens Creek for Show weekend to find some topaz.

Got our gas bottle and food/drink items from Coles Express. They even have frozen meat too now. Got the rest of the food from Farmer Jacks IGA . Picked up the chook food they keep for Lara then headed for home.

Unpacked and settled in for drinks with Tom and Sandy then a few games before dinner as we both had leftovers.
