Sun, 16th July, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA (35 months on the road)

7.30am 13.4 degrees, clear sky. Much nicer!!

We have another family of birds coming for breakfast. These ones have a full black chest but look to be the same as the others, a type of butcher bird.

Ross rang – they are back in Perth after their cruise. They had a great time. Should be up here by the end of next week. Steve gave him a list of plumbing bits to get so he can connect up the other donga.

Charles texted – Steve had tried to ring him last week. He has been reading a book a chap wrote about Bruce’s murder and is going to send us a copy, which is lovely of him to do.

After lunch clouds started to come over but it was still a lovely temperature day. Just a light breeze. Steve fiddled around with the plumbing then went for a walk to find some gold but no luck for him. I found a few little nuglets on some old timer scrapes nearby.

Nice evening.
