Mon, 22nd August, 2016 Bush camp, 15km S of Marble Bar, WA

7am 17.9 degrees, clear sky but the wind is picking up.

Back to our scrapes so I can grid them. Steve changed his coil to his little ‘Sadie’ so he can find the little ones too.

Stopped at another lot of scrapes on the way out and got another couple of nuglets. Steve ended up with 9 nuglets for 3.53 grams and I got 10 nuglets for 2.31 grams. A good day. Nice clean pieces compared with the other spot.

I found some more Devil’s Dice in various sizes.

On the way back to the van we noticed a new van so drove up to say hello. Mel and Sandra are from Geraldton and have been fishing at Broome and are doing some detecting on their way home. They invited us to join them for a drink and we had a great afternoon chatting – and a few more drinks too!!

The wind is getting very strong and cool so closed up the van. Back under the blankets.
