Mon, 29th Oct, 2018 Pastoral Station, 60km north of Sandstone,WA

The mornings are cool but it doesn’t take long to warm up.

Watered the fruit trees – nectarine, walnut, lemon, orange and bananas.

Helped Kayla with her school work. First is half hour online with the teacher then there are work sheets, games to play, experiments etc. A lot of work for the parents on top of everything else.

Had lunch in the van, 35 degrees and no breeze. Dug out the fan to stir the air.

Joy and Lance are looking at getting work away for a while and giving Kayla some time in a school so they were looking for someone for a year to caretake the property. Another couple had responded to her advert and they called in to say hi. Doug and Carol are from Townsville and seemed nice and happy to help out too. As we aren’t sure what we will be doing we can’t commit to a full year but are happy to help out as long as we can.

Steve and Lance worked on putting up shade cloth around the verandah so they can move the spa to the other side of the house.

I worked on my Blog while Joy was trying to catch up on her paperwork. Kayla had a video to watch for school so she was happy.

Two chaps arrived from the road crew for a drink so the boys stood around the ute outside while Joy and I enjoyed our drinks sitting down. Men really!!

Certainly a hotter night, still 30 degrees at 8pm. Our fan is working well.

Light breeze but still quite warm when we went to bed.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
