Mon, 10th Apr, 2017 Gavin & Tonia’s, Kalgoorlie to Centennial Park RV Stop, Kalgoorlie, WA

7.30am 16 degrees, clear sky.

Rang Malcolm to chat about his racing weekend.

Back into town for some fresh fruit and vegies – got $20 off using my Woolies card – great.

Said bye to Tonia though we will come back tonight to say farewell. Packed up the van and drove back to the RV Stop to catch up with Kev and Linda. Parked beside their van but they were out shopping.

I caught up with my blog at last – won’t be much sightseeing from now on!!

Kev & Linda came back – had a great time in the Museum. They were told there was a blast due at 5.20pm in the Super Pit so we headed up to watch it.

Took a photo just before it went off at 5.10 with no sirens to alert us.

Just heard the slight sound of the blast come up from below us.

The video in the shelter shed gave us the current gold price.

Walked over to the other side to look over a lake area and a drilling rig being serviced below the lookout.

Lovely sunset over Boulder and Kalgoorlie.

The moon was rising over the Super Pit and is nearly full.

Back to the van for a quick dinner then over to Gavin and Tonia’s for a cuppa and chat. It has been great to see them again.

Very chilly as we drove back to the van.
