Tues, 4th Apr, 2017 24hr RV Stop, Coolgardie to Centennial Park RV Stop, Kalgoorlie, WA

7.30am 18 degrees, clear sky. Headed to Kalgoorlie through more road works.

Turned off to Lake Douglas to make sure it is still a free camp as it didn’t come up on Belinda’s Wikicamps. The lake is very full and dirty.

Belinda and Max were parked up so we stopped to say hi. He had the bonnet up as he had two flat batteries. They were ok as the genie was charging them up and they were heading into town to buy new ones.

We continued on into town to the 24hr free camp spot and parked up.

Headed off to the shops with our list. I got my birthday slippers, a new chair and a lovely new wine glass – I am 30 again!!

Drove around Kal looking for someone with caravan brakes but no luck. Ended up ringing a caravan parts place in Qld that we stopped at when we first left home and order the whole brake assembly for the same price as the brake shoes here. Just have to wait for them to come by mail.

Back to the van and we have been invaded by Queenslanders. Some detecting but most just touring.
