Thurs, 6th Apr, 2017 Lake Douglas Recreation Reserve, 10km west of Kalgoorlie, WA

7am 20 degrees with a clear sky. Lovely.

Janet rang for a chat as she was driving to collect Roger. Lovely hearing from here.

Greg Miles rang as he was coming back to Kal to pick up some parts. He said he would be out late to catch up.

Continued with my blog – slowly catching up. Marked waypoints on the Hema of the leases and pending area we are going to detect.

Steve changed the oil in the diff and gearbox.

Greg arrived and his parts hadn’t arrived so luckily he had his swag as he had left the van back in Menzies where he had been detecting. Max and Belinda came up and joined us again for drinks. Max will show me more about GeoMaps tomorrow.

Cooked up roast lamb and vegies in the camp oven and shared with Greg. Clouds started coming over and we even had a couple of drops fall.

Still a warm night, probably from the cloud cover, 9.30pm 28 degrees.

10.30pm the wind picked up. We had the awning out but it was on the opposite side so didn’t flap. Steve wanted to check his latest repairs had worked and it had.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
