Wed, 5th Apr, 2017 Centennial Park RV Stop, Kalgoorlie to Lake Douglas Recreation Reserve, 10km west of Kalgoorlie, WA

7.30am 20 degrees. Warmer night though the breeze is cool when I opened up a window!!

Steve was about to tip the water from our showers last night on a tree when a council worker came over and said that open buckets weren’t allowed. Steve said he had a lid and would take it to the dump point and dispose of it there – oops. Chatted with a couple from Bundaberg, who had tipped his out last night luckily. Another chap over who owned a Nova van for a chat.

Finished off our shopping then headed back to Lake Douglas. Belinda and Max were still there so we invited them to join us for drinks around the fire later.

Sent Jim a text for his birthday.

Worked on my blog and uploaded it. Someone had posted this photo of the flooding around Rockhampton – amazing.

Steve rounded up some wood and got the fire going and we had a great afternoon chatting with Max and Belinda. Steve got out the billy and heated our shower water on the fire – needed to make sure the new system with the spare water pump still worked.

Rang Gavin to say we were in town. Will catch him on the weekend.

Rang Ross to say we had arrived and would head up to the lease soon. His son Noel was leaving Kal on Saturday with gear and he gave us his address to call in and say hi.

Cooled off with the clear sky but still nice. Might be getting too used to cooler weather – I will probably die when I get home to the humidity.
