So much for the start of Spring, 7.4 degree min but the sky is clear. Light breeze.
Packed up and drove along the track checking out other spots to detect - no joy. Headed back to the fence line we had first driven in along. Passed our camp spot then pulled up on a flat ridge overlooking a basin. Steve went for a wander across the track and got some exercise. I just had a wander about.
After lunch we continued down the fence line and back onto the Leonora/Laverton Road and headed back towards Leonora. Sharon & Graham messaged that they will be in Leonora tomorrow afternoon so we agreed to meet at the free camp at Gwalia Museum. I suggested they do the Old Agnew Road for something different and to read the history plaques.
We drove back a way then took a bush track up past Webster Find Mine into another pending lease that had some scrapes etc on it. Spotted a two-headed emu, haha.
Chose a spot near the scrapes and set up camp.
It has been a warmer day, 27 degrees in the camper, there is no wind so we will have a fire tonight for a change. There is plenty of dead timber about.
Went for a wander but only found lead shot and old bits of tin.
Drinks by the fire - all quiet except for the crickets and the fire crackling. Spotted one satellite then headed inside as the coolness was moving in.
