16.2 degrees - much better, but overcast - that cloud band last night has come over us. Forecast for a shower today.
Chatted with Graham & Sharon and decided that we had both just seen the Museum recently and they were heading to Kalgoorlie too. We packed up and hit the road south. Stopped at Menzies for a lovely morning tea at Lauries Cafe. Sharon showed me her photos of the orchids and wild flowers they found recently. They got to see the Wreath Flowers as they are just coming out - with all the rain recently the wildflowers are late coming out.
The sky is clearing as we continued south. Down Hannan Street - I was going to the Dome but it is now a seafood place. Parked on the side street and walked back towards the hotels. Saw where the Dome had moved to and went to it but it was closed Tues & Wed. Down the side street was the Irish Pub so we decided to go in there instead. Very nice and the meals were huge and delicious.
Walked back to the cars and said our goodbyes are they are continuing on to Norseman. Then they will decide whether to go down to Esperance for a bit - depends on what the weather is going to be or just continue across the Nullarbor. Hopefully we will catch up with them again next year some time.
We went around to Woolies - easier parking for us than at the new Coles. Stocked up again for a couple of weeks. Around to the free camp for the night though it was hard work finding a spot. Must be over 40 travellers parked up here tonight. Got a spot on the angle and set up.
I packed everything away - forgot to take a camp photo but we have been here plenty of times.
Malcolm rang while we were relaxing having drinks inside - a light shower of rain had come over. He is all ready for the trip over.
