5.9 degrees (getting colder again), clear sky and no wind.
Packed up and checked out the next pending lease. Steve went wandering, I read my book! My shoulders have nearly had enough of swinging the detector. Steve got more exercise.
Back to an old mine camp area - two burnt out caravans and a pile of other stuff. Steve went for another wander so I wrote up my blog.
Getting warmer during the day with no wind.
After lunch we headed back to Leonora and topped up the water then drove into Gwalia and up to the free camp by the Museum and Mine. We have stayed here before. A van pulled out from beside Sharon & Graham just as we arrived so we set up beside them.
Got out our chairs beside the camper in the shade as the sun is quite hot. Had a lovely afternoon chatting. So great to see them both again. They are planning a trip to NZ next year too so might see them there.
As the sun lowered we got our drinks and jumpers as the wind has come up and is quite nippy. Chatted on, looking out for satellites. There is a cloud band to the west which had blocked the sun set.
Inside for dinner with the sound of the mine in operation in the background.
