Sat, 6th Sept, 2025 Bush camp on pending lease on Yerilla Station, south-east of Kookynie, WA

12.4 degrees min, overcast and windy. Shower of rain fell at 2am.

Gusty cold wind and dark clouds still about after breakfast so we stayed inside. Steve finished another book. I caught up on my blog.

After morning tea we ventured out into the cold wind. Only rubbish for me. The wind is cold but not too bad but the gusts nearly blow me over. No joy for Steve either.

Back to the camper for a nice warm lunch. The sun is beaming down now between the clouds then a burst of rain hit with very strong wind. Read our books for a while then Steve ventured out again. I stayed in and updated my map book with places to see and people to visit as we head home in November.

Steve came back victorious with a little bit of gold (0.15g). Still windy and cold so put the hot water on for early showers and the oven on to cook yummy mango chicken and roast vegies for dinner which will keep the camper warm.
