7.6 degrees min with a clear sky. The sun rose at 6am so by the time we got up it was 11 degrees in the closed up camper. Still windy outside.
We wandered some more and I got a bit between the chain lines and then another one further down the slope followed by a specie. Heading back for a cuppa I got another one between the chain lines so I was very happy. Unfortunately Steve just got exercise.
He came back to where I had been and we kept wandering. As I heading back to the camper I looked down when I got a signal and here was a shining bit of gold on a quartz rock - a sunbaking specie, haven’t had one of those before. Nothing for Steve again.
After lunch with the wind still blowing (26 degrees in camper but feels colder in the wind) we packed up and headed back to the gate to where Steve had found his bit yesterday.
Set up camp in an open area on the top of the rise so we have a nice view over the land.
We went wandering but I think Steve’s find was from an old prospector who had a hole in his pocket or a cow had it stuck in his hoof from back at the ‘patch’.
The wind has dropped and it has warmed up to 26 degrees again in the camper so opened up the windows when we went in for a cuppa.
Got a fire going and enjoyed the view as we had our drinks. The golden sun dropping down behind the tree. After the sun set I got a nice photo. It is so nice to be outside again.
Watched the stars appear and a few satellites zoom across. Saw the double one again - very bright with two ‘spotlights’ or is it the reflection off the solar panels.
After dinner we went back out to look for the ‘Starlink’ lights. We spotted them zipping about - some up higher than normal. Chilly again now and the fire is just coals so we went back inside again to watch a movie.
